How the Steamer Cup Works
League Setup
- 16 players across 8 teams of 2 (Captain + Steamer).
- Each team drafts 4 countries in a snake draft (32 of 48 World Cup countries get owned).
- Each team designates 2 Golden Booters + 2 Sauce Bosses per country.
- Commissioner: Scott. Communication via the Steamer Challenge group chat.

Ride or Die
Once a country is eliminated from the tournament, all its stats (and its Booters/Bosses) stop counting. No replacements, no supplemental draft. Draft smart. Booters and Bosses can be swapped before knockouts begin, but only within surviving countries.

- Golden Booter goals — knockout rounds only

The Five Wildcard Rules
🔥 Coop 'Con un Hombre'
Own Uruguay, Paraguay, or Ecuador? In the group stage, non-Booter scorers get the +3 fill-in bonus so every goal is worth +5. Booter goals still +5 (no double bonus). Off in knockouts.
🌍 Bridgers African Refuge
Own an African country (Senegal, Tunisia, Congo-DR, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Morocco, Cape Verde)? Swap Booters/Bosses any time during the tournament — including knockouts — with commissioner notification before kickoff.
👑 Cinderella Premium
Sub-top-30 FIFA country advances past group stage? +10 pts.
💀 Curse of the Heavies
Argentina, Spain, France, or England fails to reach the quarterfinals? -5 pts.
🇺🇸 Host Country Bonus
USA, Canada, or Mexico reaches the quarterfinals? +5 pts.
